Sustainable Agricultural Transformation in Indonesia inFacing Climate Change (Literature Review)
Isi Artikel Utama
Abstrak
This article conducts a systematic literature review of sustainable agricultural transformation in Indonesia in response to the impacts of climate change, which include rising temperatures, rainfall variability, and the frequency of extreme disasters. Through a thematic analysis of several recent references, this article identifies effective adaptation strategies such as crop diversification through agroforestry, efficient irrigation technologies, the development of climate-tolerant crop varieties, and farmer education, as well as mitigation strategies such as organic farming, regenerative systems, and the integration of renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Findings show that climate change has reduced the productivity of major crops such as rice and oil palm by up to 20%, but sustainable practices can increase resilience by 15-30% while reducing emissions. Although challenges such as limited funds and cultural resistance exist, opportunities through government policies and international collaboration offer a path for transformation. This article encourages the integration of local innovations with national policies to support food security and sustainable development.
